Why Your Hormones May be Imbalanced

So many women suffer from hormonal imbalances. This is a condition in which the body produces an excess of or has a deficiency of certain hormones, which can lead to a number of unpleasant side effects. Hormone imbalance is caused by a number of different factors, including environmental toxins, and stress. It can also be brought on by poor diet and lack of exercise.

I am going to share with you exactly how I balance my hormones naturally. If you suffer from any of the issues I mention below or want to maintain a healthy hormone balance, then this article is for you! 

Signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance:

  • Irregular periods
  • Low sex drive
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Infertility
  • Insomnia
  • Night sweats
  • Bloating
  • Mood swings
  • Issues with thyroid
  • Stress
  • Diet
  • Birth control

Now, to truly find out if you have some sort of hormonal imbalance, the best way is to do a salivary test to see exactly how much of each hormone you are producing. This is something I offer in my 1-on-1 services, but there is so much we can do to balance our hormones even without testing.

If you are experiencing some of the symptoms listed above, here are some things that will help you to obtain more balanced hormones.

You can try things like:

  • Eating enough protein at every meal
  • Engaging in regular exercise (does not have to be super intense)
  • Avoiding sugar and refined carbs
  • Consuming more healthy fats
  • Avoid overeating AND undereating
  • Eat more fatty fish (or use a fish oil supplement)
  • Getting a good night's sleep
